Sweet and Sour Sauce

McDonald's Sweet and Sour Sauce
1/4 cup peach preserves
1/4 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Bring mixture to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pour into a sealable container, cover, and keep refrigerated.

Yield: 7/8 cup
